In case you didn't notice, MontyPython.net has been away for a while. Things came up in real life, I was out of the country for a while and the site sort of lapsed. When things settled down I always found a reason to do other things rather than re-start the site. I just recently started a different site which kind of kindled my interest in doing web work again and since I still had the files on an old hard drive, I thought "Well, why not?"

So here we are, back again after a lengthy time in which we had mastered the art of not being seen. You'll notice that just about everything that made the old MontyPython.net site the best Python site on the internet remain, some new things have been added and I've got a few more ideas on how to expand the site and make it even bigger and better than it was before. If you remember the old MontyPython.net from the late 90's and early 00's please make a post and let me know. I might even remember some of you from the old forum.

I'm not an old-timer, I just found this site for the first time through Google. It's great!

That was probably pretty close to the last time the site was active. It ran from the late 90s into 2000 or maybe 2001, then I no longer had the time to do anything with it. Still not enough time, but finding enough to do things here and there.

I... never thought these forums would be back. Wow, crazy. I used to post under the username twinkie between 98-00. Geez, crazy. Hey, do you happen to have a copy of the old posting guidelines? Something about post like you would to a child or a priest? I was trying to remember it when I stumbled across the actual site in google. Ha, just goes to show, you never know.
